How true the CRM applications help on business cases?

How effective those CRM applications in the existing market have been deployed onto IT infrastructure?
And how much percentage of those CRM applications have been well-adopted by organizational users ?
Further questions we will all have in mind: Did those applications really address marketers’ needs and help them done all the great marketing job already? How did they do? What programs have been implemented via those vehicles? What if not so user friendly finally found out, marketers’ would abandon those applications or just ignore and renew their outsourcing contract?I don’t have good answer yet for all those quesitons.
However…
Some of my clients feedback me awesome answers by their real implementation experiences later. I am not going to conclude those awesome and precious answers from clients as of a only corrective ones, but they did provide somehow, some kind of inspiration to think through before you decide to start your CRM journey!

1. Evaluate how good and how soon your marketers adopt an IT project before you purchase the license of software.
2. Evaluate the ease of use for a 『famous』 CRM application to know that you have sense of it before it comes true becoming your daily work!
3. Set up milestone check for the CRM applications/programs.
4. Ensure the internal awarenss programs along with new CRM application has been created.
Honestly speaking, I personally liked the number 2 answer the most.
